The Community Council is primarily funded by the annual precept requested from Bridgend County Borough Council through Council Tax.

The main function of the Council is to act as a public representative for the electors of the four wards. The Community Council is responsible for delivering a wide range of services and for the provision and upkeep of local amenities.
